What special arrangements LPU has made to support prospective candidates?

LPU has been on the forefront of activities as far as the support for the new aspirants and society as a whole is concerned, various steps that have been taken are: 1. Making whole admission process online. 2. Path breaking remotely proctored entrance and Scholarship Exam LPU NEST. 3. Nominal fee has been decided that of INR 10,000 in almost all programs. Flexible payment options 4. Qualifying marks have been settled a bit lower to suit the financially distressed times across the country, so that the slabs of scholarships could increase. 5. Scholarship will also be offered on the basis of qualification previous to eligibility qualification. COVID-19 FRONTLINE Scholarship scheme. 6. Easy and nominal Refund policy. 7. October Batch, for the student who took admission in September so that they don't lose any academics 8. The whole campus has been turned into a sterilized zone, all the visitors are rigorously checked and then only let in. COVID 19 crisis has impacted the scholastic system upside down posing a huge challenge to the education sector. Educational institutions were being shut down, to keep up the momentum and motivation in the virtual world, LPU has been engaging its student and staff remotely through online platforms and has taken many initiatives during the COVID 19, to have a lesser impact on student education and career. 1. Fully online application and admission process - From filling up of registration form to conducting the entrance test, including the interview process everything is online. 2. Online Payment - LPU provides online methods for payment, it can be done through credit card/Debit card /online bank transfer/ UPI. 3. Online Classes- Major problem faced by students during this pandemic was the cancelling or delaying of examination but LPU stood out from other universities and institutes in conducting timely examination and declaring results.

Initiatives taken are: Regular Thermal scans for every individual entering the hostel premises. Respiratory Masks to be worn by everyone at the time of leaving the room. Sanitation of hostel rooms and other infrastructure facilities like common rooms etc. Including play areas as per government. Norms Timing of consuming food in the Hostel mess to be staggered to ensure social distancing norms. Option of packed food and room service is also being explored. University Hospital situated at the heart of the campus is fully equipped to take care of the medical needs of the staff and students and is operational 24x7 with following facilities to manage all sort of medical emergencies. 25 bedded hospital staffed with well qualified doctors, nurses and lab technicians. Full time qualified doctors including a general physician, pathologist, ophthalmologist, dentist along with a physician from traditional Ayurvedic system of medicine. Visiting specialists once a week for providing specialty clinics. Tie up with Twenty-five hospitals for referral cases requiring specialised medical intervention. Equipped to provide various services such as handling emergencies, minor surgeries at university Hospital 24X7 Chemist shop where medicines are available at subsidized rates.

They include :- CAMPUS PREPAREDNESS: Temperature and other checks at entrance points of the university. All the members of faculty and staff are required to follow the COVID-19 related policies and requirements as stated by State/ Central Government. Additional measures include: Regular Cleaning & Disinfecting of workspace. Restrictive entry in the campus for all outsiders. 24X7 medical and health support through in-house Campus Hospital. Work from home option given to members having any health concerns. Monitoring closely the COVID-19 pandemic and national lockdown thereof under government directives; LPU has also taken many other new initiatives for admission to LPU academic session 2020-21. Amid rapidly changing conditions, top precedence at LPU remains the safety and well-being of its community. Supporting prospective students seeking admissions in different LPU programmes through online/remote admissions many of the special arrangements are introduced: Eligible candidate can take provisional admission to confirm their seat in the programme, LPU has further expanded the scholarship bracket to even facilitate candidates scoring minimum of 70% marks in the qualifying exam.
