What steps I must take to get a job in abroad as an animator ? How could I make approaches to studios like Disney and Pixar ?

Hello Gaurav, Animation calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess. Before thinking of any top Animation Studio, first ensure that you have mastered the Art of Animation. There are few top Animation Studios like Rhythm and Hues, Prana etc who employ interns and apprentice freshers. If you are skilled, you will easily pass their tests. Once you are there, then attempt for studios mentioned in your query. Usually, if you are extremely talented then only you will be able to work with the likes of Disney and Pixar. If you're creative, you can consider going for Design and Animation. There is no difference in qualifications whether you take a job in india or abroad. However, you must first check if you're suited for Animation. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this. Nothing but your innermost talent and passion should lead you to the course and the institute you choose. Go speak to people over there and see if you like their philosophy and they change your perspective.Try their website for more details. Also remember that Animation requires good mentoring. Typically go for a school which offers all the information including faculty on their website. Wish you the best for your career. Hi Gaurav, As per your query regarding jobs abroad you must remember that getting a job in abroad is very competitive as you need to compete with the natives of that country first and then with remaining international candidates. However if you fulfill the eligibility criteria for a particular job then getting a job should not be a problem. In order to get job abroad, you need to first of all find out the job opening in the area of your interest and the best source for this are newspapers and job portals.Both of these medium provides information about vacant job position and eligibility criteria for a particular job. If your qualification and work experience matches the eligibility criteria, then you may apply for the job.
