What stream should I select among CS and IT?

Computer Science and Information technology are two sides of same coin . Computer Science is traditional concept or branch which is deals with both traditional concepts such as Algorithms, Date Structures, system architecture etc. and applications like Programming , Web Application Development, Networking and Telecommunication etc. Where as IT is considered as combination of the following branches. 1. Computing 2. Information processing 3. Communication technology. But for one who have studied computer science / IT , papers are almost same. And the employment opportunities are also same in nature. in the syllabuses of BSc/ B Tech IT and CS and IT, you can find same papers,topics etc.After the completion of the course, same career opportunities are awaiting for both graduates. The higher education opportunities are also similar. So dont bothered about CS and IT. Both will lead you into same career.

Dear aspirant, Both CS and CSE have specialised in both the knowledge and skills to make a career in the above two fields. While CSE includes computing from PCs, supercomputers to circuit designing and software writing, IT plays a major role in the areas of communication, inventory management, data management, management information systems and customer relationship management. Students studying at the core of CSE the knowledge in the study about the design, implementation and management of information in both hardware and software, artificial intelligence and robotics, database and information retrieval, numerical and symbolic computation considering the core area studies of IT Received do. Students study about the installation, development and implementation of computer systems and applications including microprocessors and interfacing, computer communication and networking, database systems, software engineering, etc. Hope it helps.
