You should take the branch according to your interest. It is said this and that branch is good or bad. If you have interest in any one branch, you will definitely give extra effort for being skilled. There are so many branches like CSE, ECE, EE, ME, Civil, IT and many more. For government sector, there are branches like Civil, ECE and EE in which you can take exams like JEN, AEN and many more. For the private sector, CS and IT are more powerful in each and every field. So, do select your branch as your interest. Keep asking and keep smiling.
    Thank you.

People choose their streams in B.Tech according to different things. Some have interest in a particular subject and they pursue that. If you are interested in any stream, go for it. There is nothing else more good for you. Some students just go for the branch that most of the other people sought after. They go for CSE because they see the money in it. And likewise. So, if you do not prefer any one stream, go for the evergreen route.
