What students' study in the first year in Ph.D. at LPU?

Hi there, in the first year the students do coursework and begin their research. For coursework three options are given usually. This is over by first semester. The coursework consists of study of research methodology and the subject in which the student intends to do doctorate. In the second semester the student begin research for which it requires first-year Ph.D. students to immerse themselves in the relevant literature. However, it is also recommended to read a bit outside of your field or discipline to gain new perspectives. In beginning of Ph.D. researcher would do cursework and research work. Coursework sccedule options:- Option 1 Classes on weekends (Saturday & Sunday only) Option 2 4 days course work every month (Preferably every second week: Thu-Sun) Option 3 15 days of course work (In the month of April/May ) LPU researchers won a huge research grant worth 10.8 Million through Indo Canadian Impact project from DBT, GOI.
