If you are sure that you are going to opt for CLAT, then the best subjects to take will be in Commerce Streams and then go for B.Com and do LLB or after completing your class 12th grade, you can go for CLAT directly. If you decide on Arts, it will be beneficial for you as law course is based on theory and many of the subjects, which you learn in the arts are also taught in law. As per the eligibility criteria, there is no specific subjects to be selected for class 11th and class 12th, you can opt for any subjects, but you should score more than 50% marks.

The CLAT 2026 general knowledge section is very important, and questions are asked from history, geography, economy, and environment. Definitely, CLAT is rather conducted for admissions to five-year integrated courses across National Law Universities. Candidates can appear for various other state-level or national-level entrance examinations which are conducted for admissions to LLB course. Candidates who have completed graduation from recognised colleges can also apply at colleges which admit candidates on the basis of merit. Therefore, candidates have ample opportunities to pursue LLB even without appearing CLAT.

Yes you can apply to Indore Institute of Law with a valid score in CLAT exam. The institute accepts CLAT for admissions to all the courses except LLM. Hence, you are eligible for admission in the institute. However, you must ensure to submit the valid scorecard for the same to apply for and confirm your admission in IIL. Additionally, if you don't have a valid score in CLAT, then you can also appear for the IILET exam.
