Civil engineering is still a fruitful option with several construction companies and metro rail corporations emerging. In public sector there are opportunities for civil engineers in academics, PWDs, public health engineering and water authority and irrigation departments. Entrepreneurial opportunities are limitless. Remember, dreams are not what you see in sleep, dreams are those that do not let you sleep.

Yes, of course they get highly paid but they have to improve their work experience. Increase in work experience increases the salary. -

7 years agoThere are plenty of jobs for civil engineers in both govt. and private sectors. In real estate, construction project, quality testing laboratory, consultancy companies there are also chances of jobs. A major opening for civil engineers in armed forces where they make vital contribution to the protection of the country. If you are graduated from IITs than starting package is around 6-7 lakhs, for other engineering colleges it is around 2-3 lakhs.
