At HIT. As far as I experiencing the faculty members are quite cooperative with students and there is almost every laboratory and workshops are present. The department has the highest no. If you are asking this question, I must say you should go with your interest rather CSE and mechanical engineering, both are far different categories. College wise, Haldia Institute of Technology is much better than Techno India University in any perspective.

It is not about the courses. Look, anywhere you go, you will have to work hard. The thing is about your interest. These two streams have a huge difference. CSE deals with coding whereas ME deals with machines and their architecture. You'll have to first figure out what sort of course you'd best fit

If you want to go for mechanical, Haldia will be the best option as due to the available core industries in Haldia which you will not get at Kolkata.
