AICTE which is the approval body for all engineering and pharmacy colleges, does not approve distance mode degree in B.E. or B.Tech. IGNOU, JNU, Symbiosis etc do not offer distance mode B.Tech.

Hi,
*
After completing diploma in mechanical engineering, you may join lateral B.Tech course (automobile / mechanical) in which you can directly enter into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
If you want to work alongside then you may join correspondence course.
