SSC GD examcontains objective-type multiple choice questions (MCQs). Each question contains four options from which candidates need to choose the most appropriate answer. The questions are set in English, Hindi and language opted by candidates.

Questions from 4 disciplines are included in the SSC GD Computer-Based Examination (CBE): Elementary Mathematics, General Knowledge and General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. In the SSC GD Constable test, there are 80 MCQs. each question is worth 2 marks. Every incorrect response results in a deduction of 0.50 marks.
