Now a days, generally entrance exams are objective or say multiple choice questions type, mostly with four options and one correct one to select. But, sometimes for some entrance some descriptive or theory paper may be there. In the objective type paper you will get so many sections which are as mentioned below.

Mostly, questions are based on B.Sc. Syllabus, and 12th and 10th based biology topics. It will be better if you refer to model question papers and previous year question papers to get a better idea of the type of questions. I have mentioned some books which you can refer to, for preparation of your entrance exams:
    1) Post Graduate Entrance Examination 2017 - Botany Paperback by Arihant Experts (Author)
    2) Botany - A Complete Guide: M.Sc. Entrance Examination Paperback by Dr. Anita Singh (Author), Q. J. Hussain (Author)
    Regards.
