What type of questions can I expect in IELTS and TOEFL exams?

Hello Simon,
Both the test as you know are English language proficiency tests. IELTS has two parts out out of which you must give IELTS Academic. Both the tests that is IELTS and TOEFL will test the following Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. To learn more about the test formats please check the official websites -

Section 4 is considered the most challenging compared to the former sections regarding scoring well in the IELTS Listening module. The monologue is a discussion based on an academic subject. The audio recordings are not repeated during the IELTS Listening test. During the exam, each audio will only be played once, so paying attention throughout is very important.
Candidates can either opt for IELTS or PTE for studying in Canada.
