What type of work would you recommend me if am interested in scientific works (astronomy)?

Go for under graduation in aerospace or aeronautical engineering, then post-graduation in this only. Try to qualify GATE exam with very good marks and get the seat in IIT for PG degree. Try for ISRO, DRDO etc. These conduct their own exam for vacancy.
