Annual salary depends on the company you choose, your CGPA, your performance during placement tests and the college you study in. IIT'S and few NIT'S have best CSE faculty and have an edge over other institutes. If one studies there, he will have a scope to get into a company with over Rs 10 lakhs per annum salary.
But it depends on one's understanding of the subject.

As far as placement is concerned 2 main things have to be kept in mind-
    1) CGPA
    2) Coding skills
If you are an average coder with a cgpa>7, there is a very high possibility that you might get placed for Rs 20- Rs 25 lakhs per annum.
The average salary is around Rs 15 lakhs per annum.
The more languages you know(java, python etc) the better it is for you.
