Pursuing a Masters Degree is a better option for you, i would advice you to start a nice job and then do your M.Tech in correspondence as that would solve both your queries as you get valuable experience from job and by the time you are experienced you will be a Master Degree holder.

For a Civil engineer I would suggest higher studies along with some practical experience. So you need to associate yourself with some construction agency or a design office alongwith your higher studies and ensure that this becomes possible. This according to me is an appropriate option for you.

A very good and responsible decision indeed.
I would suggest you to take up the job and if you want, do part-time or correspondance MTech simultaneoulsy. That way you will neither lag in job nor in education.
