What will be the career path to become a Software Engineer ?

Adding some more bits to what Abhinav has answered : 1. Try your best to get your engineering degree from a reputed institute. Unfortunately, your salary package and placements opportunity increases exponentially with the reputation of your college rather than your talent. 2. If you want to get into software development, then develop a good command on any one popular programming language. 3. Apart from having command over a programming language, first try to develop a strong understanding of logic building . 4. And lastly, try to develop some interpersonal skills. I think that's all you need to be on track of having a good software engineer career. Hope this helps :)

First of all try to get engineering degree in computer science engineering or information technology if possible. This will give you core knowledge of computer technology. But this is not mandatory to get degree as these days companies often give chances to people having skills rather degree. So in short learn computer and related technologies preferably one or two programming language. But having degree will only make your career path a bit smoother. All the best
