    Hi Mohit!
    There are various levels of Forest Department Officers starting from Forester to Range Officer to Division Forest Officer to CCF to PCCF. One has to clear the IFS exam to be become a officer. The work can range from planning of management of forests like plantation, relocation of forest dwelling communities, development work to be undertaken, coupe cutting, managing human-wildlife conflict etc You have to be a graduate to sit in these exam.
    To be in IIFM you need to crack the CAT exam. One does not become an IFS officer by passing from this institute. Our work is varied but mostly we are into management of environment, conserv
