Whats difference between PGDM and MBA apart from full form ? Which is better ?

Hello There is hardly any difference between PGDM and MBA. The only difference is in PGDM trimester wise exams are held and in MBA you will have two semester. Subject wise you will have to study more which will be helpful in future. Thank you

Dear Friend, First of all, talking about PGDM. Although PGDM is a diploma, it will be equivalent to an MBA degree if you are doing it from an AIU (Association of Indian Universities) accredited intitute. Your institute need to be AICTE accredited also. In case of PGDM, the institute secures autonomy, i.e. they can regularly update their syllabus according to the industry requirements. Hence one can say that PGDM courses are more Industry relevant, up to date as compared to MBA courses. Talking about MBA. It is a post graduate degree and all the institutes under different universities will provide you with an MBA degree. The syllabus would not be updated on a regular basis. On the other hand, if you go for MBA or an equivalent PGDM from an AIU and AICTE accredited institute, you would be able to go for any further higher studies such a PhD and you can also apply for govt. jobs.
