Admissions at Sophia College for Women begin in the first week of March. The college primarily offers undergraduate degree programs such as BA, B.Sc, and BMM, and postgraduate programs such as M.Sc, MA, and PG Diploma. The admission process is merit-based, and admission is given on the basis of merit in the last qualifying examination.  The eligibility criteria for admission to Sophia College for Women vary depending on the course, but in general, candidates must have passed 10+2 from any recognised board. The college was granted autonomy on 18th July 2018 and is affiliated to the University of Mumbai.
