Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for short-term certificate courses at NIELIT Calicut at any time of the year. The institute opens admissions for short-term classes throughout the year. Moreover, for some of the courses, the starting date differs, such as the Certificate Course in Solar Power Installation, Operation, and Maintenance, which has a start date of September 15, 2025, with the last date to apply also on September 15, 2025. Similarly, the PG Program in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence began in June.

NIELIT Examination Centres are located across the country. A list of examination centres will be provided to the candidate once they apply for the examination form through online mode. Students can choose a centre of their choice while filling out the online examination application form (OEAF).
The grading system ranges from S for 85% and higher to F for a score of less than 50%. Soon, the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology is going to release the NIELIT 2025 O/A/B/C January cycle result. Here it goes:

NIELIT admit card
A valid proof of identity - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, Student ID, any Govt. approved photo proof of identity.
In the absence of the hall ticket and original proof of identity, the candidates will not be permitted to enter the exam hall.
NIELIT examination centres are classified into five zones, i.e., the North Zone, North-East Zone, East Zone, South Zone, and West Zone. NIELIT examination centres are categorised into Primary and Secondary centres.
The exam will be organised at over 120 NIELIT centres across India. The examination will be organised at all the Primary centres. The exam centres are based on the number of candidates who are taking the exam. Also, it is to be remembered that if a candidate selects one of the secondary centres as the first choice in his/her application form, he/she will be allotted a primary centre as the second choice.
