Most companies (Infosys, Cognizant, Amazon) have offices in multiple cities like Bangalore Hyderabad, Pune , Chennai, Gurgaon, Noida etc. So after the selection process, you are assigned a location by the company, and you might have to shift to that city. In some cases they may take preference into account, but nothing is 100% assured, so keep that in mind. So basically placements means you get the job, not one fixed city. Not necessarily, one could get placed anywhere across the country as per campus placements and also as per clearing the different rounds of recruitment of certain companies. As per experience, I must say that LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops, so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU is far way ahead with any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure and placements.
