Hello,
According to the official website, the last date to apply for Manipal University is 8th April 2019 and the Course commencement date is 1st July 2019. -
B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission: Admissions are offered based on rank in the All India Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2019. The MET entrance test slot booking has already been started from dated 05.04.2019. The probable test dates are falling between 19.04.2019 to 28.04.2019. -

After reading the information in website of Manipal, one gets the impression that even prospective students of lateral admission too are required to take normal entrance test that is perceived as for only fresh candidates for 1st year.
