The institutes look for a graduation in Science with minimum 50 % marks, as the eligibility criteria for admission in this course. There are also provisions of an entrance test conducted by the institute, as the selection criteria. However, the students with a background of graduation in wood Science and technology have preferences. -

Forest Research Institute (Deemed) University conducts FRI Entrance Exam in order to shortlist aspirants for Masters programmes offered by the institute. On the basis of a candidates score in FRI Entrance Exam he/she is shortlisted for admission in courses such as M.Sc. Forestry, M.Sc. Wood Science & Technology, M.Sc. Environment Management and M.Sc.
