when is the IAS exams in 2011-2012 and how to approach for this and how to prepare well for it?

i am a bsc(it) graduate.i am living in patteeswaram village near kumbakonam.i like to become an ias officer.this is my aim in my life.please help to this.next year i will be an ias officer.please reply immediately and give full details from filling application to prepare the exam.

The notification will be out by 4th feb, last date for application will be 5th march and exam will be conducted on 20th may. source - http://www.upsc.gov.in/ for preparation, I would suggest you to join some good coaching institute like Chanakya, Nirvana, RAUs etc. They will guide you and mentor yo
