when is the IAS exams in 2011-2012 and how to approach for this and how to prepare well for it?

i am a bsc(it) graduate.i am living in patteeswaram village near kumbakonam.i like to become an ias officer.this is my aim in my life.please help to this.next year i will be an ias officer.please reply immediately and give full details from filling application to prepare the exam.

Update your current affairs, read newspapers and magazines on current affairs, analyse the events your self, Attend some coaching programs if possible. Rau's IAS or Chanakyas may provide you with coaching facilities. Decide on your prelim subjects early and start preparing. Also visit www.onestopias
