Dear aspirant,
There's no right or wrong time. CAT is held once a year and there's a two-week window for taking the test. So, you may choose it during that window only. My experience would be to take it either early in the window or in the middle of the window. There's no data to support that argument but it is a feeling that I have after two CAT attempts. MAT is held in May, September, December and Feb. Anyone can be opted for. Most students prefer Dec. as it falls in line with other entrance and you've warmed up already. -

7 years agoThe pre-final year is the best time to take these entrance exams. A good score will definitely get you in a good B-School. By any chance you are not able to score good, it will boost your confidence. Again, in the final year, you can improve your score and get into a good B-School.
