Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, also known as APS University, was established in Rewa on 20th July 1968. The university was recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in February 1972. APS University is a teaching-cum-affiliating university that offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs in different fields of study. The university has a membership of the Association of Indian Universities.
