University of California Los Angeles was founded in the year 1919, and one of the key founding members was Reginaldo Francisco del Valle. UCLA is second establishment of the ten-campus University of California system. Whereas, UC Berkeley was the first. It is interesting to note that the University of California, Los Angeles acquired its present name in the year 1958.
