The only way to score well in CAT VARC is by mastering reading comprehension. So, read a lot and a variety of topics as the passage can appear from any domain. Reading also strengthens vocabulary and grammar which forms the remaining part of CAT VARC section.

You should not rely on CAT preparation only as SNAP requires different approach. While you can cover the CAT syllabus for both, you should practice SNAP specific mock tests and sample questions to score well.  

No, candidates from PCB stream are not eligible to apply for Swami Vivekananda University Barrackpore BTech courses. This is because Mathematics is a mandatory subject to be eligible for BTech at SVU Barrackpore. 

Candidates of PCMB stream however are eligible to apply for these courses.
