    The new academic year generally begins in the month of July. The course fee for interior designing varies in different colleges, but for an idea, government colleges like, NIFT or NID would charge around INR 8 Lacs for a 4-year course. The private colleges would definitely have higher fees than this. Situation test is a practical based test. It doesn't relates to your specific stream, but is conducted on a basic level for every design student no matter which stream in design he/she further wishes to choose.     The academic year generally starts in the month of July for most colleges. The fee varies from college to college but it would be approximately Rs. 6-8 Lacs in total. The situation test is a practical exam that happens after the written aptitude test. In this test, your imagination levels, innovation and creative abilities are evaluated.
