If you are selected as MT in hotel then your starting salary would be around 20k on an average after training of 18 months it would be around 37k in Marriott and other hotels except ITC (it's 55k) and Oberoi (50k) whereas in retail the staring salary would be around 30k per month apart from incentives.

If your selected as an operations trainee it can range anywhere between 815k, for Management trainee it can be 1530k, it depends on the organisations. Most of the bigger hotel chains provide you accommodation and food plus you get to earn tips in certain departments which is often pooled between the team members.
HOT (hotel operational trainee)- Here you will get very minimal package which at the most is 8-13k. Depending on the city and brand.
MT (management trainee)- Here you will get a better package along with faster career growth. The salary structure is 15-25k depending on the city and brand again.
