Hi Plabita, i would sujjest u should do a computer basics course something like MSCIT which would be cost effective and less time consuming so that u can get a feel abt the computer world and u would know how much computers nornally an economics graduate should have . Hope my sujjestion works for u .

As you have economics as subject you can try pgdba/pgdbm.which is one year computer certificate course offered by various institutes in India.

There are short term courses available on Software Management / Networking / Hardware and animation ranging from 3 months to over 1 and half years depending on your interest level. If that is not sufficient and you are having interest in some specific segment also then for that also short term courses are available, BUT please be aware that just having another computer qualification, may or may not guarantee a job.
