    University Grant Commission is an organization of India Governs by Indian government. It is responsible for synchronizing, resolving and preserving of higher universities standards. It provides recognition to Universities and Colleges in India.

    First of all, mathematics and accounts are two different subjects, there could be some university affiliated colleges customize the subjects in B.Com which may include mathematics but B.Com generally does not have mathematics, the calculation which you see in B.Com are accounting calculations which are basically related to concepts not difficult mathematics formulas.
    If you are not strong enough in maths in your school, don't worry. B.Com has nothing to do with the kind of maths which you study in your schooling. All that you need is simple calculations like adding and deducting the big figures and some stat related calculations.

    Hi friend,
    One thing you need to know is that B.Com is all about finance and accounting related study. Accounting and finance, both have very deep mathematical Calculations and very much focused on numbers. So, every where you go for B.Com there will be mathematics.
    It's a highly practical subject which is more dependent on numbers.Majority end up their career as accountant in some firms or will go for higher studies which include MBA and CA etc.

    Hello friend,
    B.Com is a purely account related studies with some theories subjects which are related to the Company need based these are help full to gain knowledge.
    There are many colleges which do not manadate Mathematics but you need to study the Account related subjects and some statistics subjects which means practical subjects. You can't do B.Com without the practical subjects.
    Taxation, Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Cost Accounting,- these are the main practical subjects.
    These are not yet tougher than Pure Mathematics. These are some basic calculations based subjects.
