Which amongst CGC and LPU is ranked better?

LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It is a UGC-approved university which has been ranked well by various agencies on the basis of its infrastructure, its faculty, its placements, its teaching practices, etc. The university is ranked high on various parameters by acclaimed organizations. Also, it is a recipient of various awards, including the Best Private University Award by ASSOCHAM in 2017, presented by former Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of HRD, government. Of India and NIRF 2020 (MHRD Government of India) has ranked LPU 29th for Pharmacy, 49 for MBA, and 87 for Engineering. LPU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), NCTE, COA etc. Lovely Professional University (LPU) has emerged as a leader in the field of education. LPU is known for offering its courses like Engineering, Design, Hotel Management, Law, Pharmacy, and many others. The Ministry of Human Resource Department, Government of India has released NIRF Ranking 2020 and LPU appears in Top 100 in its most crucial Overall category, which includes IITs and Central Universities. LPU is also ranked 78th in the list of all the government and private universities of the country. University Engineering School is in the Top 100, Management School in the Top 50, and Pharmacy School in the Top 30 institutions of India. LPU takes pride in its students' excellent placement record. University has tie-up with 200+ top universities of the world for student exchanges. LPU is better in terms of infrastructure, faculty members, curriculum, placement & internship opportunities. LPU offers more than 200 programmes. It is one of the leading private universities in the North. In the short span of time, it has grown so much that major recruiters from the industry visit LPU for placement purpose. When it comes to placement, undoubtedly, LPU provides the best placement as compared to CGC. LPU provides ample opportunities for each and every eligible student to secure a good placement. CGC is in the process of making progress. Overall feedback of mine and as per my opinion, surely LPU rankings are far better than CGC Landran.

Hi Dear, LPU is in my home town while I am also quite familiar with CGC as many of my friends have studied there in CGC. Personally, Ill suggest the LPU as is much better than other private colleges/universities due to the following reasons: 1. Excellent Curriculum 2. Industry Oriented. Teaching and Industrial Tie-ups. 3. Highly Qualified and Experienced Faculty. 4. 12 centre of Excellence, Industry based. 5. Remarkable Scholarships schemes. 6. Affordable Fee. 7. Flamboyant Infrastructure. 8. Excellent placement record. LPU obviously have far more choices for education, far better equipped than colleges for professional training. Generally universities have bigger and better infrastructure to be able to deliver the programs in diverse fields. One very important point is diversity of students and faculty ! Large universities of high repute like LPU have massive diversity among students and teachers. This enables the insights into different cultures and student learns the right sensibilities for working in cross cultural teams. Universities have far more autonomy to decide on their course curriculum in Indian context as colleges are generally affiliated to universities. Coming to infrastructure, as per the rules laid down by UGC for Universities, they have to be far more advanced and better than colleges in providing the infrastructure for the programs they deliver. Also the recruitment of faculty is as per the norms laid out by the regulatory authority. Coming to the two names mentioned in question: website says about 200 companies visit for placements while LPU gets about 600+. The highest packages offered in CGC are about 10 lacs, while LPU gets 42 lacs plus packages. The basic eligibility for CGC courses is 45% at 10+2 level for all graduation courses (with relevant subjects) while it is either 50% (in various courses) or 60% for B.Tech, Agriculture and Architecture etc. And this along-with its own entrance examination LPU NEST. Conclusion: There is a huge difference in eligibility, course structure, infrastructure and placements, both cannot actually be compared as LPU is miles ahead and caters to different level of students. Though both the universities are good in terms of academic structure but being an alumni of LPU let me explain the things in detail.
