IIT has a brand name which pays during fill employment life cycle. New IITs will create their own brand quickly because of government support and hand holding by one legacy IIT. If you prefer being called an IITian, you must prefer new IITs over NITs.

I think new IITs would be better because it will give a name of an IITian and will offer jobs of good salary package.
