As ICAI gives you books. You should must prefer ICAI book and MTP. Even all 200 questions are asked from that. They also give you a model test paper, if you want to score more than finished every books and MTP of ICAI.

Some of the books which you should refer for CPT exam are as follows:
-Mercantile Laws by P. P. S. Gogna or PC Tulsian
-Fundamentals of Accounting CPT by Grewals
-Accountancy by M.P Gupta & B.M Aggarwal
- Mercantile Laws by P. P. S. Gogna or PC Tulsian
- General Economics by S.K. Agarwal or Deepash

A candidate should be very versed with the 10+2 commerce syllabus to crack the examination. CPT is an easy exam given your fundamentals are clear.
