I won't give a list here. But I would suggest always aim for high. The colleges :
    IITs. NITs. BITS Pilani
    BIT Mesra
IIIT ( Indian institute ) avoid new IIITs
IIIT ( International institute) Hyderabad, Bangalore (Dual Degree ) are the best. These list are the best. No other colleges can beat these colleges as they are the brand names. Always aim for the central funded government colleges like the ones mentioned above. Though I have listed some private colleges but they are the best one can say.
    Good luck.

I can only speak about one as of this point of time, and that has to be Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. If you haven't heard of the college, then you were clearly living under a rock, because Thapar is one of the most renowned and sought for colleges in India! Especially, when it comes to B.Tech CSE! Their CSE course consists of the brightest minds, both in terms of faculty and students. Furthermore, the placements, the packages and other important factors like housing/hostel facility, library facilities and so on are all on campus. Thus undoubtedly, Thapar should be one of your first choices! CHOOSE THAPAR for

Prefer only Government college. While if you search on net they will show you various private universities while may be foul data. IIT, NIT, various state Government colleges which take admission on JEE marks. They also have good placements in good companies. DTU is also considered as one of the best college for CSE.
