Being an alumnus of LPU I would prefer LPU as it has helped me grow professionally and provides exposure to various opportunities in terms of internships, workshops, guest lectures, industrial visits, placements etc. B.Tech Civil is an Engineering programme which articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology through lab practice and projects to gain knowledge in areas like Structural, Environmental & Highway Engineering, Construction Management etc. Which are in sync with industry requirements. LPU is one of the best private universities in the country with world-class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty. It offers more than 200 programmes in different disciplines. LPU has AA+ Infrastructure including shopping malls, refreshment centers, the largest Private University Accommodation in the world, 13000 + CC cameras, indoor transportation system, University Management System, etc. With Quality of Education, Placements in LPU is also amazing, with the top brand in the world coming for Campus Recruitment provides great opportunities to its students and because of its #ThinkBig concept and various innovations in curriculum, the university is standing tall and proud with various other very old and renowned institutions in terms of rankings and accreditation. I would say that Lovely Professional University is a great university which every students are looking for. Be it studies, hangout places, infrastructure or extracurricular activities, this university has it all. Others may include independent research with faculty members another good bet for individuals hoping to go directly into research or the workforce upon graduation. Coming to faculty, they are one of the best mentors to us & everything here is up to the mark. The faculty is supporting if one is willing to learn. The capstone project is an integral part of B.Tech programme in which students have to pick a live project based on practical problem-based scenario (ideally from industry) and work for six months under a mentor and present a report at the end. Industrial visits are organized to nearby construction sites from time to time. There, you can SEE actual construction work going on. In order to enhance the learning experience of the civil engineering students, the University has established a laboratory named, university lab mechanical testing of building and construction material. National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) is a Constituent Board of Quality Council of India (QCI) that provides CAB (Conformity Assessment Boys) accreditation. To work in this profession, students are supposed to be familiar with software like MS-Project, STAAD Pro, MX Road, etc. Nonetheless, students will be trained in Auto CAD in your second year which is a prerequisite for any Civil Engineer. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students are given a lot of on-job training as well as work on projects where they can earn also. Students are placed in companies like Cleanmax Solar, Al Rakha (UAE), Dharam Consulting, Era Infra Engineering Ltd. , KEC International, Simplex, WSP India, XL Dynamics, CVENT, Rishishwar Construction, Premier Developers and Contractors, etc. Thanks!

Dear Mit, don't have idea about Good University at Pune, I would say, Lovely Professional University is the best engineering college in India. LPU becomes the best place to pursue an engineering degree with highly qualified teaching staff, best laboratories, and modern technologies. According to my research, I will surely suggest for Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Engineering is one amongst the best college in Akurdi, Pune in the field of Civil Engineering. The College is recognised by AICTE, DTE and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. They had received NBA accredited twice in 2003 and 2008. They offer full-time undergraduate and postgraduate programme in the field of Civil Engineering. The laboratories at college are fully equipped with the latest equipments, licensed software and all necessary teaching aids.

The best engineering colleges in Pune are College of Engineering-Pune, PICT, D.Y Patil College of Engineering, Bhartiya Vidyapeeth University, Government College of Engineering and Research, AISSMS College of Engineering, etc.
In Mumbai, the top colleges are IIT-Bombay, NMIMSS , Amity University, VJTI, ARMIET, ICT, DJSCE, etc.
