There are many good universities which provides fashion designing courses like: 1. IILM University Gurugram 2. NID 3. NIFT and LPU I will advice you to finalise the institute which provides students with extensive input in both the design and technology which is necessary to begin a career in fashion industry. I am not much aware of the above mentioned institutes except LPU as I will share with what I have captured from the Alumni's of the department. HI Sujeet, I would advise you to appear in an exam of UCEED. You never know when the luck is with you so you must try for NIFD first then after you must have plan B in your hand. Fashion design is a form of art. To work as a designer, you should have an artistic and creative personality. You also have to be good at drawing and able to express your ideas in sketches. You don't necessarily have to be a great artist, but you must have some special skills for combining colors, tones and shades. You also have to be able to work with fabric and use textiles in a creative and original manner. Fashion designing is a branch having a lot of scope and in LPU, they give a lot of exposure to students, through guest lectures from industry top shots, various in campus and out campus fashion shows, and also they have their own store where the studentscreations are showcased and sold. The school provides a platform for students to experiment with creative designs, patterns, fabrics and colors. Live with fashion events, visits by renowned national and international fashion designers, innovation and creativity is fostered in the students at every step. They are encouraged to experiment with different materials to create conceptual wear and accessories.
