Hi Wajahat, In the aviation industry, job of aeronautical engineers, aircraft maintenance engineers, and pilots is very crucial. But the roles are very different. Aircraft maintenance engineering (AME) trains aspirant to service the aircraft. Aircraft maintenance engineers are responsible for keeping the aircraft in perfect flying conditions. They are directly or indirectly involved in the repair and maintenance of aircraft. Aircraft maintenance engineering is not a degree or diploma program, but it is a training programme. After the successful completion of the training, a license is issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). During the training session, students will be taught about the service and maintenance of aircraft so as to ensure flight safety.
