Which are the best colleges to pursue B.Sc animation at Pune?

It is really tough to directly comment on any institute best or not or answer which is the best institute in a city or country , especially in INDIA for domains like web designing, animation and VFX/editing/post production or gaming etc. where many institutes offer many types of courses for different duration for almost all the same pipeline . We need to see the content of the course , duration, cost , infra, earlier students outputs and skill developed , in-time course completion record , certification process & delivery of certificate in time etc. Also Same Brand has different centers and branches and unfortunately all does not perform the same . Some centers are doing great some not, in vary place to place centers to centers and also on the local management & team. So its always good to visit the institute personally, speak to them, see the track record and then decide if its up to the mark as per your requirement. One very important point. Before joing and course in animation and VFX related domain in India , which is university approved , please be very much careful and check the records of previous students record, ask them if their exams are happening in time , if results are published in time ! If certification is on time ! If exam schedule is shared on time . I have seen 90% of the students suffering in the above said issues after taking a university certified graduation and other certification programme . I suggest better join a long term certification course , where content of the course , duration and almost everything remain the same , prices you pay will be lesser but all responsibilities remains on the institutes , hence easy to communicate in need , also prefer a direct institute rather than franchise structure . Suggesting you to join a certification long term course and simultaneously join a regular ( BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com ) course on distance . Surely you will have a better career.

You need to keep in mind that animation and visual effects is a very dynamic field. It requires constant upgrades to the curriculum. I doubt such flexibility is available in any of the degree programs. Moreover, this is a skill oriented field and certificate seldom matters. Before you chose a program, you should try to understand the work culture of this industry. It is very different from all the other segments. Take a session with experienced career advisors of this field. They will be able to help you understand. You should compare the course content, check the placement record and faculty experience too.
