Hi, The government college for marine engineering is IMU that is Indian Maritime University. This is best for marine engineering but I'll suggest you to go to any private college like Tolani or Anglo Eastern these have their own ships and placement is Good with good package. -
The Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a Central University thar was established in November 2008 by GOI for imparting education in the maritime field. It has an All-India jurisdiction and the headquarters is at Chennai. Lots of Maritime Institutes are affiliated to IMU.
