The general path would be doing graduation in commerce and pursuing CFA. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is a course to train people in the investment sector. Most of the people start out as equity research analyst or financial analysts after doing CFA and some of them are able to climb the ladder to become portfolio managers. For a career in the investment sector, the best course to pursue is CFA- Certified Financial Analyst which consists of 3 levels. The average salary of a CFA qualified is a minimum 12lakhs as per the latest trends in the market.
Apart from CFA, one can pursue MBA + certification from NSE and BSE in order to build a career in the investment sector.
