Hello dear, There are ample of colleges in India for pursuing engineering and lacs of students are graduating every year some with great jobs while some with small or no jobs, all depending on the knowledge and caliber of the student. The topmost colleges of India providing great placements are as follows: National Institutional Ranking Framework uses all the parameters like infrastructure, research, placement, etc. to rank the colleges. I will try to rank government engineering colleges according to their placement: 1.IITs and NITs (All the Indian Institutes of Technology and National Institutes of Technology) have very good placement records. 2.Netaji Shubhash Institute of Technology, Delhi 3. Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad 4. Indian Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad 5.Anna University, Chennai 6. Vellore University, Chennai 7. Jadavpur University, Kolkata 8. Sri Govind Sekseria Institute of Technology and Science, Indore 9. G.B Pant University, Pantnagar 10. Punjabi University, Punjab 11. Hello, The government colleges are better than the private colleges/universities in many aspects like fees, accreditation and reputation though some say that private colleges are better.The primary thing is that the government colleges are affordable. There are many government colleges that have taken place in the top rankings of the engineering colleges. Firstly, the IITs, NITs would come as they are under the central government as well as have a higher reputation than most of the Indian colleges. Jadavpur University Kolkata 9. NIT, Warangal, Surathkal, Allahabad, Calicut, Jaipur Bhopal, Rourkela 10. New NITs 11. Sri Govind sekseria institute of technology and science Indore 12. Naming the best colleges with the placements may not really be the right approach as all the colleges have different placements dependent on the course, location and the reputation they have built over time. The popular government engineering college across India has had a stellar placement record. With the top offers as well as average offers surpassing several private engineering colleges. However, there are some govt. colleges where no companies visit for campus placements. Therefore, it's important for students who are seeking to land a job immediately after graduation, to check the college's placement records for at least last 2 years. Private engineering colleges are popping up in every nook and corner of the city. Hence, it's difficult to give a common verdict for all. But, several private engineering colleges established 5-10 years back, have put up a lot of efforts in tying up with MNCs and other big companies. So, these companies visit engineering colleges without fail and each of them are seen to recruit as many as 100-150 students in one go. There are several newly established private colleges, where no companies visit and students are left on their own to do the job hunt after graduating.
