On completion of Ph.D in accounting, finance, and commerce, you will be able to get a teaching job in university or B-School.

PhD may not help you to get higher position in Finance and Accounting. Students with professional degree such as CA, CFA, CMA has edge over PhD student. In my 35 years corporate expereince, I have never met a songke PhD in Finance or Accounting departments of MNCs.
