Which are the entrance exams for the engineering field?

Hello Yana, you have indeed raised a very interesting query. These days for getting into medical stream into any college in India a student has to appear for only one exam. Unfortunately for getting into an engineering college this is not so. Four different reasons governments at the state and the centre have not come together to lessen the burden on the students of entrance examinations for engineering colleges. At the national level there are two important examinations called JEE Mains for getting admission in two different National institutes of technologies and also as eligibility to appear for JEE Advanced which is the entrance exam for getting admission into IIT. Besides this a student has to appear for the designated entrance exam as declared by the state in which he is domiciled. Some States have reduced the burden of students by announcing JEE Mains as the entrance exam for the state also. Over and above this a student has to appear for entrance exams that are conducted by different deemed to be universities which are spread across the length and breadth of India. Best wishes to you.
