IIT's and NIT's are affordable and have a good record so far.Don't worry about the comments you get from the ministers you get it in newspapers these days.Please get prepared well for the entrance exams.To-date there are 12 IIT's and nearly 30 NIT's.You can also try with BITS they have an online en

Join any of the IITs or NITs. They are having great placement records as well as if you join them lot of scholarships are available for the economically backward student. For admission to IIT you have to appaer for IITJEE and for admission to NITs, you have to appear for AIEEE.
