Which are the good universities I may get admission for PhD in commerce through distance?

Dear Rameez Shah, you can pursue Ph.D in commerce and allied subjects like management. However P.hD can be completed through regular program or as a part time program. Distance program in Mphil and PhD has been banned by UGC since 2010. In case you have less than 55% look out for private university offering PhD program as most of state and Central university demand 55% in Post Graduation

Hi Rameezshah, Minimum eligibility for PhD is post graduation degree in the respective subject from any recognized university, with a Bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification obtained after a minimum of three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling (10+2) or equivalent. Some institute might have some additional criteria like 2-3 years' post qualification full time relevant work experience in executive capacity, 55 % marks or equivalent CGPA at PG level, entrance test etc. Some of the institutes require GATE/NET for PhD. Usually for PhD in Commerce, the requirement is Post Graduation degree in Commerce. However, every institute has its own eligibility criteria and selection procedure which you can find out directly from the institute where you are interested to take admission. In distance learning courses, study is either through study material provided by institutes or by virtual class rooms learning or by learning through different study centers/study circles or the combination of any of these options. In correspondence course, learning is through study material provided by institutes. Most of the correspondence course institutes provide a detailed study plan and prescribed books specially designed (as per the curriculum of the University) and meant for self-study. So, it hardly matters whether university is in Hyderabad or somewhere else.
