I think there are a few PGs available near Amritapuri Campus within 2-6kms. But almost every student prefer to be in hostels as they provide a different vibe as comapred to. Eventhough the food that they provide in hostel as well as in college is strictly well, we can adjust upto it. In my opinion, being a hosteler will be a good decision. But it is to very much a personal opinion. There are good as well as few PGs out there. If you are a 1st year student, you can enjoy the hostel situated in ashram side itself rather than in the main boys hostel.
