    Basically, these seats are a bet and the highest bidder gets the seat. This basically happens in private engineering colleges because government ones are filing their seats by well-governed exams like JEE and other state examinations. And you should know these seats are for the students that failed to meet the required criteria or were unable to qualify the entrance exam. So, talking of the prestigious colleges through is a little bit hard because if a college is prestigious it won't have such quota and all students in the engineering college would be well screened.     Management quota is a percentage seats that are reserved for the management authorities to recommend the students for. Basically, these seats are a bet and the highest bidder gets the seat. This basically happens in private engineering colleges because government ones are filing their seats by well-governed exams like JEE and other state examinations.

    Admission through management quota is nothing but getting admission in the college by giving extra money to the college in terms of extra fee. In some colleges administrative people allocate a certain fractions of seats in each department and they recommend students know for the seats.
    Due to more number of students going for engineering is increasing year by year and almost the same amount of seats in Government Engineering Colleges. Thus the demand of seats in private Engineering Colleges through management quota increases as many students failed to get their choice of branch.

    Hi there,
    Management quota seats are basically paid seats where you need to pay an extra amount of money to get admission, however, these are quite confidential and colleges do not advertise it publically, you need to contact to the college and can book your seat.
    Here is the list of colleges via management quota.
    1) MSRIT
    Average package:- 7.65 lakhs
    Highest package:- 50 lakhs
    2) RVCE
    Average package:- 4.5 lakhs
    Highest package:- 11 lakhs
    3) MIT PUNE
    Average package:- 4 lakhs
    Highest package:- 12 lakhs

    I think very few prestigious engineering colleges have seats for management quota. Colleges have management quota seats may be called as a good Engineering colleges but term 'prestigious' will not suit them. You will have to pay lot more fee for the same degree for which others pay much lesser fee. However, there are some decent engineering colleges which has management quota are (mostly private engineering colleges):
    1. PSG college of technology Coimbatore
    PSG College of Technology have management quota seats but it's difficult to get into PSG through management quota. PSG is probably the best college which has management quota seats.
